Reports to:
Consumer Affairs Officer (Advocacy)
Role: To receive and channel complaints, queries
and requests for information from Customers.
Key Result Areas
a. Professionally
answer UCC's toll free calls and enlighten consumers on the procedures of
channeling complaints;
b. Receive
and handle relevant consumer complaints, queries and requests for information
by phone, e-mail or walk-ins in consultation with the line supervisor;
c. Follow
up on consumer complaints and inquiries;
d. Identify
and escalate priority consumer issues to ensure that both an appropriate and
adequate investigation takes place in all cases;
e. Provide
consumers with service information;
f. Participate
in organizing and conducting Consumer Outreach Activities, Road shows and
special projects in various parts of the country;
g. Maintain
an updated record of calls and complaints;
h. Produce
call/ Complaint reports;
i. Provide
support in executing other UCC Consumer Affairs functions; and
j. Assist
in maintaining an organized filing system in the Consumer Affairs Unit.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's
degree in Social Sciences or any related field;
· An
advanced diploma in Marketing plus experience of 3 years would be commensurate.
Experience and
Knowledge
· At
least two (2) years of experience in similar duties;
· Should
have excellent analytical, report writing and interpersonal skills;
· Should
be a team player and self driven.
