Planning and Organizational Development
Reports to: Chief
Manager Business Partnering.
The Role: To coordinate, develop and review the
implementation of the Banks Organizational Development and Human Resource (HR)
planning initiatives to support strategic business objectives in line with the
corporate strategy and Human Resource (HR) business pian.
Key result areas:
I. Co-ordinate,
develop and implement the annual bank manpower plans and staff budget in line
with the approved business plan and strategy.
2. Periodically
review and coordinate the adjustment of business unit staffing for branches and
divisions and align it to manpower plans and productivity benchmarks in line
with the business plans and strategy.
3. Coordinate
the implementation of periodic skills audits and generate analytical reports
for management decision making in line with HR policy, HR business plan,
corporate strategy and objectives.
4. Review,
coordinate and implement workforce succession planning and talent
identification strategies to support the delivery of strategic business
objectives through addressing current and future competence requirements ofthe
bank.
5. In
liaison with line management review and identify opportunities for
organizational capability improvement and development through review of
organizational structures, streamlining of business processes and
adaptation/development of new technologies in line with the strategic plan and
set annual targets.
6. Provide
specialist support to line management in the implementation of change/OD
initiatives, plan and interventions, including change communication,
implementation, adaption and evaluation in line with the corporate strategy.
7. Review
and document approved macro and micro structures for all operational units in
the Bank as a means of communicating, reporting relationships, defining jobs
and projecting the growth strategies of the Bank in line with the bank staffing
pian.
8. In
liaison with Service Delivery unit, coordinate and follow up implementation of
Disciplinary Committee related decisions.
Required
Qualifications
Honors degree in Human Resource Management with a bias in
planning and organization or Social Sciences with Human Resource Management as
one of the options.
Master's degree in relevant field.
CIPD qualification or equivalent an added advantage.
Computer literacy and statistical competence are a must.
Knowledge &
experience:

A conceptual and strategic thinker with the
proven capability to help shape initiatives and deliver desired outcomes.

At least eight years experience as a HR
generalist, with experience in Organizational Development.
·
Demonstrated change management and project
management skills Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of OD

management skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at the

Employee Relations Specialist
Reports to :
Manager Reward and Employee Relations
The Role: To
develop, monitor, implement and maintain employer¬employee relationships that
contribute to satisfactory productivity, motivation, and morale, through
resolution of disputes, grievances and disciplinary challenges in line with
employee terms and conditions of employment, Bank policy, employment laws and
regulations.
Key result areas:
I. Develop,
monitor and implement all industrial and employee relations initiatives in the
Bank in line with Bank policy, Government of Uganda and international
employment laws and regulations.
2. Periodically
review existing employment laws and regulations to enable enhancement of the
Human Resource policies and procedures, and ensure consistency and alignment of
the policies with the employment laws and regulations.
3. Periodically
review and implement appropriate terms and conditions of employment for all
employees in compliance with employment laws and regulations. and in liaison
with line management and HR business partners.
4. Develop
proactive measures to mitigate and resolve disputes, grievances and devise
dispute resolution strategies for the Bank in coordination with the legal team,
Line Managers and HR business partners.
5. Support
line management in resolution of payroll, performance appraisal, medical
insurance, disciplinary and all other issues pertaining employees in line with
Bank policy, employment laws and regulations.
6. Coordinate,
monitor and ensure appropriate implementation of sound staff provident,
benefits and pension schemes i.e. NSSF & Terminal Benefits in line with HR
Policy and the Bank policies.
7. Ensure
that the Bank observes an appropriate Occupational Health and Safety
environment in line with the OSHA requirements.

Relations
The Role: To
plan, review, monitor, and implement employee reward and performance management
systems in the bank, to attain competitiveness in line with Bank business plan
and HR policy.
Key result areas
I. To
monitor, review and implement competitive employee reward systems for the bank
in line with the bank business plan, reward strategy and HR policy.
2. Plan and
undertake regular salary surveys, reviews and consolidate information for
aligning staff compensation and benefits in line with market rates and Human
Resource policy.
3. Plan,
monitor, review, and implement payment of staff salary, incentives, benefits
and statutory deductions in line with the bank policy and the Uganda labor
laws.
4. Plan,
monitor, and implement the performance based reward systems in the Bank to
drive employee productivity in line with set benchmarks, performance management
guidelines and Bank policy.
5. Plan,
monitor, and evaluate the implementation of the Performance Management (PM)
systems and generate periodic reports in line with the HR policy and the
performance management guidelines.
6. Coordinate
the development/review of the performance management instruments (i.e. role,
competence profiles, performance agreements, Performance Improvement Plans and
scorecards) in line with the PM guidelines.
7. Plan,
review, monitor and report on the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) in Key
Result Areas where staff do not meet performance expectation(s) for the Bank in
line with the Performance Management guidelines.
8. Coordinate
the process of identifying staff with potential to assume higher responsibility
for the Bank in line with the Performance Management guidelines, the Management
Development Program and the strategic objectives of the Bank.

Development Officer
Reports to:
Manager Human Capital Development
The Role: To
support the development of e-Iearning solutions for the Bank, manage and
implement the delivery of virtual classroom, e-Iearning courses and programs to
all bank staff.
Key result areas
I. Identify,
analyze and compile training and development needs of Bank employees using the
Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) in line with the business
pian.
2. Conduct
activities to facilitate the development of identified talent pools to support
succession planning in consonance with the business pian.
3. Source,
and design training programmes and modules for the e-Iearning system in
partnership with line management, subject matter experts, and service providers
in line with the Human Capital Development strategy and Bank policy.
4. Plan,
monitor and implement e-Iearning solutions for Bank staff including generic,
adaptive and customized courses in line with the Human Capital Development
strategy.
5. Support
the development of Information Technology Library (ITL) learning solutions,
webcasts and gamifacations for staff learning and development in line with the
Human Capital Development strategy and IT policy.
6. Manage
and implement the logistic delivery of virtual class room, e¬learning courses
and programmes to staff across the Bank network in line with Human Capital
Development strategy and IT policy.
7. Evaluate
e-Iearning and development programmes and maintain training records in line
with training and development policy and procedures.
8. Periodically
monitor, evaluate and follow up on the integrity of HRMIS and e-Iearning system
information and submit periodic reports on status of the systems.
9. Promote
increased utilization and enrolment to e-Iearning programmes.
Required skills and
qualifications
