Our Client, Uganda Nurses and Midwives Union, (UNMU) was established and registered in 2003 to represent the Nurses and Midwives in Uganda. It is both a professional body as well as a labor organization. As a professional organization, UNMU focuses on ensuring that the profession is practiced at the highest possible standard. As a labor organization, UNMU spearheads efforts geared toward improving the socio-economic welfare of Nurses and Midwives in the country as a whole. Cabin Uganda invites suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions:

Post Title 1: Wellness Center Coordinator (1 Position)
Reports to: The President UNMU
Location: Kampala
Duration: Fixed Term
Job Purpose:
The main purpose of the job role is to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in implementation of the Wellness Centre so as to achieve the highest service within the context of UNMU, assuming oversight and linkages with donors in order to maximize results.
Requirements:
        University Degree in Nursing and Midwifery or a related discipline (Master’s Degree is an added advantage).
        6 years’ experience in Clinical Nursing or a related function with at least 3 years at a managerial level.
        The ideal candidate should have strong financial and management experience
        Team management, supervisory and ability to communicate effectively
        Strong interpersonal skills, Results-driven
        Project management skills
        Ability to work independently and take initiative
        Good reporting skills.
Post Title 2: Project Officer (1 Position)
Reports to: The General Secretary UNMU
Location: Kampala
Duration: Open-ended
Job Purpose:
The main purpose of the job role is to support project activities ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in implementation of the project so as to achieve the highest possible outcomes within the projected timelines in order to maximize the positive impact on all stakeholders assuming accountability for programs.
Requirements:
        A University Degree in Nursing /or Midwifery or a related discipline.
        5 years’ work experience in a related function and at least 2 years at managerial level.
        The ideal candidate should have project management experience
        Team management
        Ability to communicate effectively to stimulate participation; Strong interpersonal skills, Results-driven;
        Project management skills
        Ability to work independently and take initiative
        Good reporting skills in English and fluency in diverse local languages.
