Underwriter
Reports: to the
Team Leader,
Location: Kampala
A well established and reputable Insurance company is
looking for suitably qualified
and experienced candidates to fill in the above positions.
The Underwriter will be responsible for the following:-
• Underwriting of business i.e. issuing stickers,
endorsements, policy documents and renewals
• Acceptance of risk and facultative placements up to a
prescribed limit;
• Broker visits and attending to broker queries;
• Preparation of weekly and monthly reports
• Receiving proposal forms and making timely quotations and
follow ups
• Marketing all classes of business
• Any duties as delegated by Supervisor
Minimum
Qualifications and Experience:-
• A University degree in a business related course or
Actuarial science obtained from a recognized university
• A Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance (COP) is a
prerequisite
• Possession of ACII or progress towards an Insurance
professional qualification will have an added advantage,
• Three (3) years relevant experience.
