For our young and dynamic microfinance organisation “SYPO
Uganda Ltd.” we seek to recruit
an Oracle Apex Developer and Drupal Developer.
SYPO Uganda Ltd. is a subsidiary of the Dutch NGO SYPO that
has been active in the
Mukono district for the past nine years. Our ambitious
microfinance organisation was started
in 2011 and provides low-threshold business loans to groups
of women in rural parts of the
Mukono and Buikwe districts. The company uses a custom-built
Oracle client administration
database, and Drupal website linked to this database for its
fundraising activities. To maintain
and develop our systems, and promote our fund-raising
website through social media, we are
looking for one or two experts:
Oracle Apex Developer:
• Academic degree in IT or IT related studies
• At least three years of relevant work experience and
proven experience with:
o Oracle database version 11g (on MS Windows)
o Oracle SQL (including analytic functions) and PL/SQL
o Knowledge of database triggers
o Oracle Apex version 4.2
o Oracle SQL Developer version 3.1 including Data Modeller
• Fluent in both Luganda and English
• Able to work independently and pro-actively with limited
supervision
Drupal Developer:
• Academic degree in IT or IT related studies
• At least three years of relevant work experience and
proven experience with:
o PhP / MySQL
o Drupal 7
o Oracle
o Social media
• Fluent in both Luganda and English
• Able to work independently and pro-actively with limited
supervision
Ideally we would like to see both roles fulfilled by one
person, but suitable candidates that
would be able to take up one of these roles are also
encouraged to apply. This is a part-time
position (an estimated 40% FTE if both roles are combined in
one candidate), based out of
our office or from the candidate’s home. The Developer will
report to our IT manager in the
Netherlands and will initially work for two agreed upon days
during the week. We do also
would like to see the Developer available throughout the
week for brief responses to urgent
emergency requests.
