Purpose of the Job:
To support the development and implementation of the academic functions of the
University that is; teaching/learning, research and community outreach. Minimum
Requirements
Applicants must have:
A PhD or a Masters Degree in the area of specialization.
• At least
three (3)Years of Teaching Experience in a recognized Institution of Higher
Learning
A PhD holder should have at least (2)Years of teaching
experience in a recognized Institution of Higher learning
• Evidence
of at least one (I) Publication
• Computer
skills Specific Requirements
• Applicants
for the post of Lecturer in the Agro Processing Engineering Department must
have a PhD or Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Chemistry or
Food Science and Technology. They should be able to plan and conduct lectures
in two (2) or more of the following areas:
Food Manufacturing Systems and process development, process
control and Principles of process and Plant Design.
• Applicants
for the post of Lecturer in Mining Engineering Department must have a Masters
Degree in Mining Engineering.
Should be able to plan and conduct lectures in two or more
of the following areas:
Theory of Structures. Water Treatment. Material SCience.
Hydrology, Engineering Design. GIS Application in Water
Resources, Renewable Energy Technologies, Thermodynamics. Fluid Mechanics.
Mechanics of Materials, Irrigation and Drainage Engineering.
• Applicants
for the post of Lecturer in Ginning and Textile Engineering Department must
have a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Physics or its equivalent.
Must be able to teach: Automotive and Computer modeling.
CAD. CAE. Thermodynamics and Engineering Mechanics.
Applicants for the post of Lecturer In Natural Resource
Economics must have a Master of Science Degree in Natural Resource and
Environmental Economics.
Must be able plan and conduct lectures in: Environmental Economics.
Natural Resource Economics. Fisheries Economics and Management, Energy
Resources Economics and General Economics.
