 Yara East Africa Ltd is a subsidiary of Yara lntemational ASA which is a world leading chemical company that converts energy, natural minerals and nitrogen from the air into essential products for farmers and industrial customers.

As a major supplier of mineral fertilizers in Kenya, we continuously look at adding value to the farming community by introducing new types of fertilizers.

We are looking for a Senior Agronomist for our operations in Kenya and Uganda to develop our business in the territory based on good crop nutrition practice.

The Senior Agronomist will be instrumental in taking Yara and our customer base forward in the region.

Role& Responsibilities

o Support in developing the strategy for the region

o Manage and supervise the Agronomy team

o Manage trial programs and organize field days and exhibitons

o Develop and implement crop programs for key segments

o Support the commercial team on customer needs

o Train customer sales teams on Yara products and competences

o Produce marketing materials for the region

Profile

v Masters Degree in Agronomy; post-graduate studies appreciated

v Minimum 5 years working experience

v Extensive agricultural knowledge in fertilization, sales background appreciated

v Computer literate, at least be proficient in Windows and MS office Suite

v Enthusiastic approach and willingness to learn

v Ability to travel extensively within and outside of Kenya

v Excellent communication and listening skills; good interpersonal relationship skills

v Fluency in English and Kiswahili
