 RANK : Principle Banking Officer (Personal to Holder)

 REPORTS TO : Head Internal Audit

5. NUMBER OF POSITIONS : 1

6. KEY RESULT AREAS:

6.1 Conducting performance, financial and compliance audit projects.

6.2 Providing input to the development of the Annual Audit Plan.

6.3 Providing training, coaching and guidance to Internal Audit staff.

6.4 Responsible for Identifying information technology risks, and independently evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of information technology infrastructure and application controls.

6.5 Support the assurance services unit by providing input to the information systems development process.

6.6 Maintaining all Banking and professional ethical standards.

6.7 Guiding the audit staff in conducting interviews, reviewing documents, developing and administering surveys, composing summary memos, and preparing working papers.

6.8 Communicating the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentation to Head of Department.

6.9 Developing and maintaining productive client, staff, and management relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.

6.10 Pursue professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and share information gained with co-workers.

6.11 Perform related work as assigned by Audit Management.

7. PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:

7.1 A good undergraduate degree in Statistics, Commerce or Business Administration.

7.2 A professional qualification in CISA, ACCA, CPA.

7.3 Certification in CIA will be an added advantage.

8. EXPERIENCE:

8.1 Minimum of 4 years experience in a Banking environment.

8.2 Experience in external auditing will be an added advantage.
