Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• Lead the legal service unit of VFU
• Ensure that best corporate governance practices exist
in VFU
• Provide legal advice to the board and management
• Over see and support the debt collections unit
• Provide company secretariat and advisory services to
VFU Board.
Qualifications:
• Degree in LLB from a reputable university
• Post graduate diploma in law practice is an added
advantage
• Knowledgeable in corporate laws & governance
• Atleast 8 years experience in a micro finance setting
• Christian centric
Job Category 2. IT Manager

Location: Head Office Kampala
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• Be the overall in-charge of the IT Dept.
• Strengthen system controls
• Provide IT strategic advice to the CEO
• Review and constantly upgrade VFU IT Policies and
procedures.
• Annually review and align IT strategy to that of VFU
Qualifications:
• University Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer
Science, Information Technology or related field
• 5 years experience in managing MIS/ IT component of a
bank or a microfinance operation
in a regulated setting
• Proven expertise in network administration and in
troubleshooting common PC problem
• Must have knowledge of intermediate accounting and
basic statistics
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office productivity
applications, database applications and other related applications;
• Determined personality with initiative, perseverance
and the ability to motivate and manage a team
• Experience in software installation will be an added
advantage
