Umeme is seeking to recruit employees with high integrity , dedication and commitment to fill the positions below in the regulatory Affairs  & legal department. The position holders will be stationed at our offices in Kampala..

1. Job Title: Manager Tariff & Regulation.

Reports to; GM Regulatory Affairs & Legal.

Department: Regulatory Affairs & Legal.

Job purpose:

Responsible for Developing and Controlling the Implementation of Policy , Regulatory Procedures and standards for pricing of Electricity distribution and end user tariffs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compile Umeme Annual and Quarterly Tariff Application s.
• Undertaking financial modeling, Maintaining and updating the company’s tariff model.
• Analyse the Electricity regulation Authority’s Tariffs determinations.
• Under take the relevant analysis of the approved tariffs, and carrying uot relevant tariff reconciliation s.
• Collect and Analyze the Economic data of relevance to the regulatory framework.Undertake benchmarking exercise of end user tariffs.
• Coordinate the Umeme Investment Verification exercises.
• Participating in the process by the Electricity Regulation authority tariff determining the appropriate tariff structures and pricing level of Electricity. Participating in the electricity regulatory Authority, methodology development.
• Participating in the Electricity sector planning activities in the short term, medium and long term with respect to the distribution network expansion , the General and Transmission network expansion programmes.

Required Qualifications:

• A degree in Accounting Quantitative Economics, Statistics, Econometrics, and or a Professional Accounting Qualification  - ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA.

Experience:

• Proficient in Financial Accounting and Economic skills.
• Previous relevant working experience of at least three years in the Utility industry.
• Should have worked for at least 3 years working experience at a senior managerial level.
