JOB DETAILS:

We are looking for a passionate Marketing Officer to plan and oversee the organization’s marketing activities and campaigns. You will be the one to ensure that all marketing operations are successful in meeting the goals set by Management.

A successful Marketing officer must have great enthusiasm for all things marketing and great knowledge of the relevant techniques and principles. The ideal candidate will also be an excellent communicator and will have experience in managing different marketing ventures.

The goal is to ensure that the marketing efforts of the University add the highest value to its business.

 

Responsibilities

ü  Contribute to the planning and implementation, in consultation with the head of marketing, of the University’s advertising and marketing strategies and campaigns to reach the University’s many cohorts, from school leavers to postgraduate, and international audiences.

ü  Support the head of marketing in overseeing the department’s operations.

ü  Organize and attend marketing activities or events to raise brand awareness.

ü  Keep abreast of new marketing and advertising techniques to deliver innovative work.

ü  Plan and implement the University’s advertising and marketing strategies and campaigns across offline, digital, and social media platforms, including drafting marketing campaign messages and evaluation of outputs from the campaigns.

ü  Liaise with the University’s relevant staff across the University’s units and research centers to assist with all advertising/marketing and promotional needs.

ü  Liaise with stakeholders and vendors to promote the success of activities and enhance the University’s presence See all ventures through to completion and evaluate their success using various metrics.

ü  Prepare content for the publication of marketing material and oversee distribution.

ü  Conduct market research to identify opportunities for promotion and growth.

ü  Collaborate with Managers in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses.

ü  Provide periodic updates and monthly, and quarterly reports to Management on the progress of activities carried out and recommending future action.

 

 

Qualification, Experience, and Skills

ü  BSc/BA in marketing, business administration, Journalism, Mass Communication, or

ü  relevant discipline from an institution recognized by the NCHE.

ü  Demonstrable experience in Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Social Media is desirable.

ü  Proven experience as a marketing officer or similar role

ü  Solid knowledge of marketing techniques and principles.

ü  Good understanding of market research techniques, statistical and data analysis methods

ü  Excellent knowledge of MS Office and marketing software (e.g. CRM)

ü  Experience in filming videos and use of editing software.

ü  Thorough understanding of social media and web analytics
