Role Purpose:

·         The Job Holder will take responsibility for planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting on livelihood non-core program within the designated sub counties to promote safe, supportive and enabling schools and community environments for vulnerable children in hard to reach communities of Uganda.
·         S/he is expected to implement the Livelihood non program activities in schools in a manner that promotes integration with other core programs of Sponsorship and cross cutting themes such as gender, disability, child Protection, ownership and sustainability and rights programming.
·         The Job Holder also implements the livelihood non-core program in collaboration with Sub county stakeholders and ensure meaningful active participation of Children and their parents/guardians.
·         The job holder may be called upon as and when necessary to support the emergency team in cases of humanitarian crisis
Qualification and Experience;
Essential
·             Minimum of a Bachelors' Degree in agriculture, economics, entrepreneurship and other related fields.
·             At least 3 years progressive experience in planning and implementation of livelihood programme in schools
·             Ability to speak the local language Luganda fluently is a strong requirement.
·             Ability to ride a motorcycle (Honda XL 125) and the candidate must be having a valid riding permit and willing to ride a motorcycle
Desirable
·             Demonstrable financial, planning and budget management skills a MUST.
·             Demonstrated knowledge of international and local policies and frameworks relating to their thematic area is a must and excellent planning, coordination and reporting skills, with the ability to organize a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities
·             Experience of working with local partners and District Local Government.
