Hospital is the oldest Hospital in Uganda having been founded in 1897. It is a
Christian, Missionary founded, Private Not-For-Profit (PNFP) Hospital. It is
categorized as a General Hospital by government,
but operationally it is a
referral Hospital. It has offered treatment to tens of thousands of people over
the years. The once Missionary Hospital simple structures, developed into the
present-day 300-bed hospital, spread over 22 acres of land at Namirembe Hill.
Job summary
To provide
administrative support and excellent secretarial services to the Medical
Director’s (MD) office
Minimum qualifications, experience
and skills required
(a) A high caliber person with a University
Degree in Secretarial Studies; or a Diploma in Secretarial Studies plus a
relevant University Degree preferably in
Administration, Social Sciences or Arts from a recognized institution, with
excellent computer skills. Additional training and qualification in office
management is a competitive advantage.
(b) Five (5)
years’ relevant working experience, with career progression to the same
position/role in a reputable organization
(c) High
proficiency in computer skills; with good command of oral and written English;
with ability to work on own initiative as well as a team, and to maintain
office confidentiality
(d) Must be
an honest, mature and well balanced person with integrity, of at least 35 years
