Job Title: INTERNAL AUDIT OFFICER

Location: Kampala.
Background Information:
Mengo
Hospital is the oldest Hospital in Uganda having been founded in 1897. It is a
Christian, Missionary founded, Private Not-For-Profit (PNFP) Hospital. It is
categorized as a General Hospital by government, but operationally it is a
referral Hospital. It has offered treatment to tens of thousands of people over
the years. The once Missionary Hospital simple structures, developed into the
present-day 300-bed hospital, spread over 22 acres of land at Namirembe Hill.
Job summary
(a)
Responsible to the Internal Audit Manager
(b) Conducting periodic audits and special
investigations in line with the annual audit plan and submitting timely and
quality audit reports
Minimum qualifications, experience
and skills required
(a)
Bachelors Degree in either Commerce, Finance, Business Administration
(accounting option) plus at least Level
II of professional qualification in auditing or accountancy; OR Full professional qualification in
auditing or accountancy such as CIA,
ACCA, CPA or CIMA
(b) Computer knowledge and proficiency in
using Microsoft Office and Accounting Packages
(c) Knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing
Principles and Internal Control Procedures
(d) 5 years’
relevant working experience in internal auditing, with career progression
gained in sizable and busy reputable organization(s)
(e) A
balanced, mature and dynamic person of at least 30 years.
