CORE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
·
Prepare training plan for the project assistants (PAHs) and CHPs
(Com-munity health Promoters) as per targets.
·
Conduct field level staff and Community Health Promoters trainings. Provide
in-service supportive supervision at the field level for CHPs and PAHs.
·
Support plans for (CHP and health staff service delivery, quality
assur-ance and monitoring CHP and staff assessments, certification and
re-certification plans, criteria and implementation)
·
Supervise and monitor activities of health team within communitybased EHC
including health education and awareness, to ensure quality and the maximum use
of their skills and their full and effective participation at the community
level, and perform any other duties from time to time.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
·
Minimum of BSc. in Public Health, Nursing and or Midwifery/Clinical Officer
·
Experience: At least (3-5) five years working experience in directly train¬ing,
managing, teaching and or supervising a large number of commu-nity health
workers.
·
Skills in developing trainingl teaching tools) with strong background and
thorough understanding of material child health, nutrition and healthy
behaviors.
·
Also ability and good exposure background in developing skills
(capaci-ties), working with the community health workers, especially in
training them, their Assessments and Certification.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
·
Should possess sufficient Knowledge in the field of conducting interac-tive
training-using adult learning method and Project management. Ability to
motivate others and inspire trust among team members and CHPs.
·
Report writing and analytical skills are a must.
·
Possess a passion for teaching and demonstrates respects and values for
community based CHWs.
