Organizational Profile:
UGAFODE Microfinance Limited (MOl) one of the leading Financial
Institutions and Regulated by Bank of Uganda, is looking for a mature
experienced individual to fill the position of CREDIT MANAGER.
The Credit Manager will report directly to the Executive Director and will
be responsible for implementation of credit activities of the Institution in
line with the set departmental targets/goals and policies of the Institution.
Key Responsibilities:
•Responsible for the management of the Credit Risk of the institution.
•To develop appropriate reporting and quality control standards and
guidelines for the credit department plus comply with reporting requirements
from the BOD, CEO, ED and BOU in line the credit policies and procedures
manual.
•Carry-out credit analysis to minimize credit risk in line with the credit
policy.
•Development of tools to assist manage credit risk
•Developing and advising on lending, credit and risk management strategies
including pre-loan eligibility requirements, client screening, collateral,
product design, loan approval processes, repayment terms and incentives,
delinquency and default management.
•He/she is responsible for the implementation of the Credit policies and
procedures in the institution.
•In-charge of monitoring and reporting of the loan portfolio quality of the
institution.
•The Credit Manager is in-charge of the credit approval process of all the
loans.
•Coordinating and monitoring the collection of all delinquent loans in the
institution.
•In-charge of all the Credit Reports to RALCO, SMT, the Board and other
stake holders.
•The Credit Manager is responsible for the supervision and coordination of
all the credit related projects in the institution.
Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in business related subject from a reputable University
•At least 5 years in a senior management position.
•Must have worked with a financial institution and been involved in Credit
operations for a period of not less than 5 years.
