Job Description:              
This Directorate coordinates Quality Assurance activities throughout the University and as such the Director shall report to the Vice Chancellor. This position also serves as Secretariat to the Quality Assurance Committee that is headed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs.
 Duties and Responsibilities:
·             Ensure that quality assurance policies and standards are in place and followed
·             Maintain a University Quality Assurance manual including forms and methods
·              Sensitize relevant offices and faculties about quality standards and activities
·             Determine and document any areas that may need improvement
·             Investigate and collaboratively identify strategies for quality improvement
·             Review and analyze the effectiveness of the modifications made
·             Audit compliance of departments with the Quality Assurance requirements
·             Compile statistical data, write reports and summarize findings
·             Assure that QA activities are implemented in the regional campuses or any location where UCU education is offered
·             Any other official duties assigned by the Supervisor
Preferred Skills:              
Qualifications:
    PhD or its equivalent from a recognized institution of Higher Learning
    Should be a senior academician
Experience and Key Competencies:
·             At least five (5) years of successful University–level experience in either management, admissions, records, or registration management
·             Must have at least three (3) years of post Masters work experience teaching at University level
·             Should be a committed mature Christian who subscribes to the instruments of identity of Uganda Christian University
·             Strong collaborative, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
·             Analytical, multi tasking, organizational and time management skills
·             Ability to display tact and diplomacy when assisting customers
·             Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to work independently
·             Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple concurrent and conflicting priorities and deadlines
·             Experience in the use of analytics as a part of a comprehensive admissions strategic plan and accountability
·             An understanding of higher education academic context is a plus
·             Must be self motivated
·             Should be a committed mature Christian who subscribes to the instruments of identity of Uganda Christian University
