Action for Community Development (ACODEV) is a national NGO that has been implementlng program in Uganda for 11 years now. We envision a society where children, women and men are healthy and economically productive. We serve and empower lndlvlduals, families and communities In Uganda through promoting locally driven, innovative  and sustainable solutions in the areas of Human   Rights, Health Promotion and Institutional Capacity Strengthening.
ACODEV has received funding to implement a 4-year PATH USAID Advocacy for Better Health project in 29 Sub-Counties ofKasese District. The goal oftf1eproject is to improve the quality, accessibility, and availability of hea!lh services by fostering citizen demand and enhancing the capacity of citizens to advocate for Improved responsiveness and accountability by decision-makers and service providers.
Job Purpose:
The Manager will head the Finance and Admin Department and will be a strategic thought¬partner and report to the Executive Director (ED). The successful candidate should be a hands-on and participative manager who Is ready to lead and develop an Intemalteam al
ACODEV to support the following areas: finance, business planning and budgeting, human resources management, administration, and IT.
He or she will manage financiat planning and Donors relations, ensure comprehensive financial monitoring and reporting, Finance and tax audit. Administration and Human resource management; Oversee general administration; Ensure compliance 10 finance policies and procedures, Supervision and Capacity Building of Ihe finance team at national and regional offices.
Minimum Qualifications and knowledge requirements:
·         A university degree of BCOM, BBA, Statistics, Economics or related field;
·         Masters in Business Administration, Finance or Human Resource is preferred. Should be a holder of CPA, ACCA or other internationally accredited professional accounting bodies.
·         At least six years work experience In finance, managing people, performance management, monitoring and evaluation, capacity building in national nongovernmental or international organization is preferred
·         Experience In designing and managing budgets and the corresponding InlemaUonal NGO's acceptable reporting formats including but not limited to USAlD, EU and other intemational development partners.
·         Expertise in using various accounting packages or software like Quick books and Navlson;
·         Experience in Human Resource management including training and facilitation skills for staff and good communlcaUon and people relations skills;
·         Experience in procurement, stores and nee! management required.
·         Ability 10 work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
