Job Summary
ABC Capital Bank Human Resource Manager will steer the HR & Administration department.
Incumbent shall be responsible for initiating and developing a strategic Human Resources programme and offer administrative support in order to meet the corporate goals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Review the Human Resource Management strategies, policies and procedures in accordance with the organization’s strategic business plan.
· Prepare manpower forecasts in line with the Bank’s business strategy, develop and implement an appropriate recruitment plan.
· Ensure there is proper implementation of all approved Human Resource management policies, procedures, programs and advice line managers in accordance with the human resources manual.
· Plan and conduct training and development programs to meet identified needs and promote change management in accordance with the organization's objectives.
· Design and Maintain suitable staff Performance Management System.
· Compile, prepare and implement the departmental budget in accordance with the guidelines.
· Submit departmental reports in accordance with the specific requirements of the organization.
· Coordinate security of all Bank premises and properties and ensure provision of fire
equipment.
· Co‐ordinate for the Insurance of Bank premises, equipment and any property of the Bank with reputable insurance companies.
· Ensure provision of excellent and efficient administrative support to all Departments.
· Design and implement appropriate payroll management system for the Bank.
· Career and succession planning for staff, key resource people and positions.
· Perform any other functions/duties as may be assigned form time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The ideal candidate should preferably hold Bachelor’s Degree, from an accredited university, in Human Resource Management or Public Administration Management with a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management/Administration.
· Possess the ability to work under minimum supervision
Key Performance Indicators:
· Effective HR policies introduced and implemented
· Low numbers of employee conflicts
· Increased input of Human Resources towards attainment of Bank’s objectives
· Increased profitability of the Bank.
Key Working Relationships:
Internal:
· Board HR and Administration
· All employees of the Bank
· Senior/Top Management of Bank
EXTERNAL:
· Labour offices
· Service providers e.g. AAR, HR Consultants
· NSSF
Experience:
· 5 years’ experience working in a busy / commercial organization of repute in HR department minimum of which for 3 years should be at management level
Skills and Knowledge:
· Leadership and motivational ability
· Analytical excellence and problem solving ability
· Team working and team leadership skills.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Confidentiality
· Knowledge of labour laws
