Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is a corporate body responsible for
regulation of civil aviation in Uganda. It manages Entebbe International
Airport (EIA) and thirteen (13) other upcountry aerodromes. CAA carries out its
work in conformity with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)
Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs).
PURPOSE :
The position exists to ensure proper
planning, implementing and maintaining CAA’s Quality Assurance system in
accordance with the requirements in ISO 9001.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
·
Responsible for planning,
implementing and maintaining CAA’s QA System in accordance with the
requirements in ISO 9001.
·
Keep abreast of developments within
the field of general quality assurance and the development of relevant
standards and systems.
·
Responsible for coordination and
handling of improvement activities, non conformity reports, improvement
suggestions, preventive and corrective actions, and customer satisfaction.
·
Responsible for planning and
organizing Internal QA Audits and for supervising the QA Coordinator’s
activities.
·
Plan and coordinate QA related training of employees in the various
directorates.
·
Ensure that all new employees are invited to QA introduction Course within
three months after starting employment.
QUALIFICATIONS
·
A good and relevant degree from an
approved, recognised and reputable university.
·
A good knowledge of QA – systems and
the purpose and use of them.
·
A good knowledge of Aviation Industry.
EXPERIENCE
At least 3 years experience from a QA organisation of similar size and
scope, one of which should be at a senior level.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Analytical skills
·
Understanding of key business process
·
Team leadership and proven managerial skills
·
Instructor/ trainer skills
·
Very good knowledge in Microsoft Office programs
·
Some knowledge of computer networking and project management
