Role overview
The Social Services Advisor/Director of Services will be responsible for
the management and development of all services provided by CiF in Uganda.
He/ She shall ensure that a high quality, cost effective model of social
work practice is provided in accordance with the organisation’s strategy and
policies and with government policy on Alternative Care.
Skills, qualifications and experience required
·
Professional qualification in social work-Essential
·
Degree level education, preferably to Master’s level-Essential
·
5 years post qualifying social work experience preferably including
adoption and fostering-Essential
·
2 years staff management experience-Essential
·
Experience of managing budgets including budget planning, monitoring,
reporting and achievement of best value-Essential
·
Experience of service development and strategic planning-Essential
·
Experience in managing HR issues-Essential
·
Experience of managing data and formal reporting of key performance
indicators-Desirable
·
Experience of partnership working-Essential
·
Experience of developing, implementing and monitoring
·
Policies and procedures, including child safeguarding, health and safety
and HR-Essential
