Brief Company Profile:
Uganda Martyrs University is a private university in Uganda. The main
campus is in Nkozi, a small town, approximately 84 kilometres, by road, west of
Kampala, the capital and largest city in Uganda, on the Kampala-Masaka Highway.
About Faculty:
A multi disciplinary undergraduate Bachelor of Environmental Design,
followed by, Master of Architecture (Professional), both programs gained
validation by the Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA) in 2011. The
multi disciplinary undergraduate program is designed to lead into other
associated fields such as landscape agriculture urban design and some
engineering specialist fields.
This is an opportunity for out standing academics to join the faculty and
provide academic leadership in the development, management and delivery of the
programs and courses. We seek someone passionate about architectural education
and research in the context of a rapidly growing society. Someone who is
interested in building professional and academics that will shape architectural
discourse into the future.
The ideal candidate shall have an interest in global exposure and out look
and appreciate international quality research scholarship.
Job Summary:
The primary responsibilities include teaching a design studio, undertaking
a seminar class in the area of his or her interest as well as components of
mandatory courses related to his or her area of expertise. The successful
candidate would also engage in research with in one of the research divisions
of the faculty.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Possession of a good terminal
degree in architecture or related field
·
Possession of a Research degree
with special interest in Environmental Design Sustainable Architecture or
Environmental Systems is highly desired.
·
Possess excellent leadership
abilities and an appreciation of challenges and opportunities facing
architecture in developing economies.
