Role : To review,
recommend, approve and disburse agricultural loans, and conduct agricultural
credit training to ensure quality agricultural portfolio growth in line with
guiding credit policies and procedures.
Key Result Areas:
·
Review, approve and disburse agricultural
loans within delegated limits in line with the bank credit policy.
·
Conduct credit training for agricultural
credit staff and other stakeholders in line with the Bank's training plan,
business plan and Credit policies and identified needs
·
Attend to agricultural customer inquiries
and complaints from branches and take corrective actions in line with the
customer service standards.
·
Implement the agricultural portfolio growth
/quality activities in liaison with Agribusiness Unit Manager in line with the
business plan.
·
Conduct loan documentation and ensure
proper filling in line with credit policy.
Qualifications and competencies required:
An Honour's degree in Agricultural Sciences majoring in
Crop Finance, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics and other relevant course
from a recognized University.
Other relevant post graduate qualification in agriculture
is added advantage

At least five years working experience in
Agricultural Lending in a regulated Financing Institutions with at least two
years at supervision and managerial level
·
Knowledge of banking experience practices
and regulatory requirements
·
Knowledge of banking practices and
regulatory requirements
·
Good understanding of banking business
processes and related risks and controls in a bank
·
Excellent analytical skills
·
Investigative skills
·
Ability to work independently
·
Good communication and Interpersonal skills
·
High degree of integrity and
confidentiality
·
Ability to manage several deliverables in a
timely and effective manner.
