Save the Children seeks to fill the following vacant positions and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Persons.

Job Purpose:
The Advisor, Education plays a key role in the direction and coordination of the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD), Vocational Education / Education for Youth Empowerment (EYE) programming section.
 As a member of the Extended Senior Management Team (ESMT) in Uganda, the Advisor is responsible for the development of high quality, innovative programs that deliver immediate and lasting change for children, and monitoring the quality of the implementation of – ECCD, Vocational Education /EYE program activities.
The Advisor will also play a key role in developing the advocacy priorities for the ECCD, Vocational Ed./EYE program area and participating in advocacy, particularly at the National level. The Advisor is also responsible for providing technical assistance and appropriate monitoring and evaluation in emergency responses.
This position reports to the Director of Program Development and Quality.
Academic back ground, Experience & Person Specifications;
• A minimum of Bachelors degree in Social Sciences, Education, Development Studies, Emergency and Disaster Management, Agriculture, Conflict Resolution or a relevant field. Graduate or postgraduate training in project planning & management, monitoring and evaluation, community development & research or related field is an added advantage
• A minimum of 8 years relevant working experience preferably in ECCD, Vocational Education, youth empowerment/ programming with at least 3 years at management level in an international NGO.
