Reports to: Program Administrator
Job Purpose: The main focus of this job is to assume
responsibility for managing end to end transport requirements for both our Entebbe and Kalisizo
offices.
KEY DUTIES
- This job entails planing, organizing and directing all
aspects of program transport service
- Undertake day to day operational administration of RHSP
transport, ensuring that vehicles are scheduled and ready to meet end user
needs
- Minimize liability to the organization by anticipating
problems, evaluating magnitude of problem and taking action to minimize risk or
correct problem
- Manage the automobile fleet system, conduct monthly
performance analysis and prepare reports on appropriate decision making
- Monitor the transportation department automobile
maintenance program. ensure all routine maintenance and repair procedures are
completed by appropriate service providers in a timely manner and keep up to
date records of these
- Prepare monthly reports of all vehicle inspections,
information on mileage covered, license matters, first aid kits and general
inspection
- Perform other administrative tasks in the transport
section.
QUALIFICATION
- This job requires a candidate with a degree in humanities
from a recognized institution
- A diploma in fleet or Automobile management is an added advantage
- Knowledge in vehicle maintenance and management
- Should posses a valid driving permit
- Leadership and supervisory skills
- High level of integrity
- Computer skills
- Willingness to reside and work in rural settings (Rakai
district)
- Willingness to work long hours
