Background

Enabel in Uganda is seeking to recruit dynamic and competent individuals to fill 2 vacancies for the position of Institutional Development Officer in the project offices in Arua and Kitgum.

The person is responsible for strengthening the capacities of the school management teams and local government in areas of participatory planning, implementation, monitoring, and accountability to the community.

 

Job description

Ø  You conduct and accompany targeted capacity-building activities with the school management teams at the school level in areas of support supervision Inspection and monitoring.

Ø  You develop actions to strengthen multi-actor coordination, as well as planning, monitoring, and inclusion of refugee needs and opportunities in all the education programs.

Ø  You coordinate, implement, and monitor training in the areas of management and leadership for school managers and district staff.

Ø  You oversee the delivery of modules and a support package on participatory and accountable result-based and inclusive planning, budgeting, and monitoring.

Ø  You provide technical knowledge of institutional development in areas related to strategic planning, financial management, human resource management, and asset management in Secondary schools.

Your profile

Ø  A Minimum of a Master's degree in social sciences, Education management, law, public administration, human rights, economics, or other areas closely relevant.

Ø  At least 5 years of proven experience in school leadership and management.

Ø  At least 3 years of proven experience in capacity building for stakeholders in Education at different levels.

Ø  Experience in public finance management, procurement management, and/or public sector reform.

Ø  Experience in digitalization of management practices, especially in the field of finance and school management.

Ø  Demonstrated knowledge of the decentralization context policies and institutions in Uganda, particularly with regard to the delivery of social services.

Ø  In-depth understanding of and professional capacity in the design and implementation of results-based management frameworks.

Ø  Demonstrated knowledge of social barriers to access to secondary education in Uganda

Ø  Knowledge of international best practices in school development and school leadership.
