International Uganda formerly Windle Trust Uganda is a registered INGO whose
primary mission is
to equip refugees and others affected by conflict in Africa
to meet the challenges of development through providing access to education,
training, and employment opportunities by advocacy and direct programme
activity. Windle International Uganda has been a leading provider of access to
university education, post-primary education, primary and vocational training
for conflict-affected Africans since 1996.
Windle
International lead partner of UNHCR implementing Education Programmes in Uganda
with close collaboration with the Government of Uganda through the Office of
the Prime Minister.
Purpose of the Position :
Provide
support to the settlement, as related to the preparation and monitoring of
budget estimates, financial transactions, e-imprest, journalization, and
liquidation of payments and facilitate the timely transfer of funds for Programme
activities.
Provide
assistance to staff and non staff on all issues related to financial matters at
field level.
Under the general direction of the Senior Finance Officer, assist in
the following tasks:

Prepare weekly,
monthly, quarterly financial reports
·
Maintain and file
financial records and regularly post accounts data into QuickBooks
·
Update accounting
records as and when transactions take place, and ensure that proper
documentation is filed for each transaction
·
Conduct cash counts
on regular basis
·
Provide feedback on
budget verses actual expenses
·
Make wire requests
for the office operations
·
Maintain the books
of accounts and database
·
Assist in monthly
reconciliations
·
Liaise with Senior
Finance Officer and Manager on Financial Planning
·
Other tasks as
assigned/delegated by supervisors
·
