The Uganda Registration Services Bureau seeks to recruit suitable qualified, competent, and experienced professionals to fill vacancies within various directorates and departments
Position Title:Project Support Officer

Background Information:
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) is established as a Statutory Body under the Uganda Registration Services Bureau Act Cap. 210. The Bureau is a key player in commercial and civil registrations that facilitate private sector development and vital statistics for national planning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
·             Providing administrative and project support and assistance to Project Management team
·             Updating plans and assisting with preparation of reports
·             Assisting the project management team in reporting and forecasting
·             Facilitation of project meetings and other relevant forums on request including invitations, facilities booking, agenda production, minute‐taking and issuing.
·             Maintains project calendar.
·             Arranges project‐related travel and/or events.
·             Generates or distributes ad hoc reports using various business systems and databases.
·             Generates simple documents, such as letters, memos, spreadsheets and presentations.
·             Assist the Project Team in the planning and execution of work schedules, project reviews, and project/programme highlight reports.
·             To be responsible for ensuring that all project documentation is stored logically and securely in accordance with agreed document management processes.
·             Assist in procurement of goods and services, including raising requisitions, tracking purchase orders, processing receipts, budget monitoring and maintenance of all associated records.
·             Liaise with all parties on issues that arise during the project life cycle.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
·             An Honors Degree in Public Administration, Political Science, public relations, Social Sciences, Law or equivalent from a recognized university.
·             A Masters Degree in Business Administration or Planning and Management discipline is an added advantage.
·             At least three years working experience gained with a reputable government/ public institution or private or donor funded organization, with vast knowledge of government policies and private sector.
·             The candidate must have good evidence of working within a Project environment, with a strong administrative background to support.

·             Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines
·             Ability to plan, organize and coordinate
·             Excellent word processing, spreadsheet, database and internet research skills. Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills are required.
·             Problem solving, negotiation and follow‐up skills
·             Interpersonal skills ‐ verbal and written communication
·             Judgment, discretion, initiative, ability to work independently
·             Attention to detail and active listening skills
·             Solutions‐oriented with ability to work in a high intensity work environment
·             Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors and to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff
·             Ability to think clearly and calmly when faced with issues or problems.
·             Demonstrate a proven ability to work to stringent deadlines and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly improve services.
