Technician
Job Description :
Position Purpose (What is the reason that this position exists? what is the
value added by this position?)
• Handling all the repair issues to ensure that the quality of the repair
delivered is done to the required standard and are up to the customer
satisfaction.
Key Accountabilities (What are the main areas in which the position must
get results in order to achieve its purpose?)
• Determine the type of repair required & the work scope; collecting
the right set of data that enable proper handling toe the repair, as per the
manufacturer standard.
• Plan the service by segmenting the job to its target labor hours,
identified parts & material that enable performing the job in a fully
integrated manner.
• Receive job requests from the
customers (Field service), determine the required repair, and make quotations.
• To consult the updated right source of technical information when
preparing for the job, ordering for parts or searching for technical information
to fulfill the service need.
• Dispatch resources; Technicians team to their respected jobs segments as
well as, checking parts & material availability, tools, technicians and
vehicles.
• Communicate work required & the job plan to team and track the
performance at all stages. • Handling customer complaints about issues related
to repair and influence receivables control (Field service).
• Adhere to all safety procedures & policies specified for service,
operation or repair of equipments or service tools usage.

Capability Profile (What capabilities will be required to perform the

8.1 Qualifications Bachelor degree
in Engineering (Mechanical, electrical, or agricultural) or Diploma in
Engineering (University, VT).
8.2 Skills & Knowledge
• Handling the repair & dealing with different heavy machines and
equipments
• Use updated service Publications & required service information
systems.
• Have comprehensive knowledge of
the equipments applications, operation, and functions • Have problem solving
techniques and guiding, communication, and reporting skills
• Supervisory skills and people handling
• Communication & reporting skills 8.3 Experience (indicate depth &
breadth)
• 7 years relevant experience in service or repair of heavy machines and
equipments two of which in supervisory position.
