Background Information:
Uganda Clays Limited is Uganda's leading manufacturer of quality clay baked
construction products since
1950 and is listed on the Uganda's Securities
Exchange. The head offices are located at 14Km on Entabba Road, with a second
factory situated at Kamonkoli in Eadem Uganda.
Purpose:
To implement sustainable strategic and operational security services that
safeguard company property through maintaining a safe and secure environment
10r staff visitors and customers by as well as implementing and monitoring
security policies and procedures and supervision of security personnel.
Job spacificalion:
1.To implement the security function of the company, keeping physical
sBCurity measures under constant review to ensure they are adequate to meet
current tf1reats to tf1e business, evaluate changes and proposing appropriate
methods to safeguard property and people.
2.To deploy and supervise security personnel and manage their performance
3.To develop, update and maintain Security guidelines for use by all on
company premises.
4.To review security risks faced by the company and advice on possible
measu res and procedures to be takan for enhancement of a secure environment
for staff and customers.
5.To oversee the operations 01 hired security firms for a smooth provision
of security services to the company.
6.To conduct security audits and initiate risk control measures.
7.To handle security incidents affecting staff, customers, and assets 01
the company and taking appropriate action to resolve such incidents.
8.To develop and promote security awareness amongst employees.
9.To undertake various tasks in accordance with the security requirements,
including security surveys, secu rity
risk assessments, drafting relevant policies and procedures and compiling
security reports.
10.To ensure that the appropriate level of training is provided for all
security staff on disasters; fire and bomb procedures; use of technical
equipment and routine security duties.
11.To ensure that Company staff are 1ully trained and brie1ed on security
matters
Parlon spacification:
1.A Diploma in sociology or in related field from recognized institution.
2.Training in security management or Criminology
3.3 years' experience in a security role in a large organization.
4.Possess investigating and report writing skills as well as experience in
writing coherent security procedures.
5.Unquestionable integrity, reliability, emotional resourcefulness problem
solving skills, and good judgment.
6.Ability to work independently and enhance teamwork.
