Duties and Responsibilities
·
Provides management support to the Head of department Follows up on the
evaluation of staff performance.
·
Initiates plans for the department.
·
Provides guidelines on strategic planning monitoring aid supervision of
Government Aided Secondary Schools.
·
Advises on the establishment of Boards of Governors of Government - Aided
Secondary Schools.
·
Prepares and coordinates quarterly reports.
·
Identifies gaps and reviews Universal Secondary Education.
·
Science and ICT policies.
·
Carries out any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant authority.
Qualifications and Experience
·
A minimum of a Masters Degreesin Education on Education
·
Management and Planning from a recognized University /Institution.
·
Must be registered as a teacher with the ministry of education and Sports.
·
A minimum of nine (9) years working experience.
·
three (3) of which must have been at the level of Principal Education
Officer.

Duties/Responsibilities
·
Heads a Regional Education Standards office.
·
Advises the Director, Education Standards on matters relating to Education Standards
in the region.
·
Advises on matters relating to confirmation of teachers and their general
terms and conditions of service.
·
Provides technical advice on syllabus development and subject assessment of
subjects taught in schools in liaison with the National Curriculum Development
Centre (NCDC) and Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB).
·
Monitors and reports on Education Standards.
·
Monitors the implementation of policies relating to subjects taught in
schools and conducts tlne related research.
·
Monitors. inspects and evaluates the status and use of instructional materials
in Education and Sports sector.
·
Carries out any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant authority.
Qualifications’ and Experience

A minimum of a Master's Degree in Education on Education Management and
Planning
·
Must be registered as a teacher with the Ministry of Education and Sports.

Duties and Responsibilities
·
Responsible for matters relating to the National Council of Sports.
·
Develops the departmental work plan for the Commissioner's approval.
·
Coordinates and monitors the day - to - day management of physical
education and sports activities throughout the country.
·
Responsible for initiating and formulating policies and advises on aspects
of physical education and sports.
·
Responsible for ensuring timely ‘insemination of policy information to
stakeholders.
·
Responsible for ensuring effective and timely feedback from key actors in
physical education and sports.
·
Ensures the development of capacity at various levels to enhance management
and administration of physical education and sports in order to increase
access, quality and eqnity in physical education and sports in the country.
·
Carries out any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant authority.
qualifications and Experience
·
A minimum of a Master's Degree in either Physical Education and Sports.
Sports Administration and Science. Public Administration and Management, or
Education from a recognized university] Institution.
·
Must be registered as a teacher with the ministry of Education and Sports.
·
A minimum of nine (9) years working experience in physical education and
sports, three (3) of which must have been at the level of Principal Education
Officer.
