ICCO Cooperation with a global office in The Netherlands has 7 Regional
Offices. The Central and Eastern Africa Regional Office is based in Kampala —
Uganda, currently has country offices in five countries and programs running in
eight countries within the region.
ICCO Cooperation was awarded a four year Agri Skills 4 You (AS4Y) program
in Northern Uganda with a maximum value of €79 million.
The program will contribute to the development of the Agro-BTVET sector to
enhance access to and improve the relevance and quality of formal training and
mobile training for youth and for market-oriented small farmers.
For this Program, ICCO Cooperation is now looking for a vibrant, motivated
and enterprising person to work as the Assistant Finance . S/he will be based
in Lira.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Finance Role
o Comply with lCCO’s financial and administrative systems and manuals
Contribute to an organizational culture of transparency and honesty in
financial aspects in ICCO.
o Monitor the reconciliation of travel advances and share with staff on a
monthly basis.
o Responsible for booking expenses in MS Dynamics and compile office
monthly expenditure including variance analysis reports.
o Compile the Monthly AS4Y liquidity requests & cash flow projections
in a timely manner.
o Maintain and keep up—to-date books of accounts of the AS4Y program
o Contribute to the annual budgeting cycle and produce reports on request.
o Responsible for facilitating both internal & external audits of the
Lira office.
Skills and Qualifications
o Relevant education for the job (B Comm., BBA Accounting, ACCA level 2,
CPA level 2 or their equivalent)
o At least 3 years working experience in a similar position
o Good computer skills (MS Office packages) with knowledge of at least one
accounting package
o Good interpersonal & communication skills, including intercultural
communication
0 Excellent language skills in English and a relevant regional language
o Stress management and ability to multitask
0 Analytical and problem solving skills
