Position Title: Feed Mill Production Manager,Uganda Jobs,

Job Role:
• Manage the feed mill operation to efficiently manufacture feed rations to
meet customer order requirements within management performance parameters
ensuring adherence to defined Product Specifications , Quality & Safety
Standards
• Manage feed mill resources to ensure cost effective manufacture in line
with budget
• Ensure that all poultry products are packed to fulfil customer service
requirements whilst meeting agreed quality specifications and cost parameters
and ensuring that all necessary resources are available and utilised in a safe
and efficient manner.
• Manage the mill to company policy on environment, health & safety.
Areas of Responsibilities:
- Quality: Optimise product quality ensuring that products meet
required specifications.
- Service: Maximise service to internal customers, right product,
and right time at the right specification.
- Cost: Optimise milling efficiencies (yield & wastage) and
plant utilization to maximise the contribution to profitably of the operation.
- Health & Safety: Provide all necessary on the job training to
staff to ensure all activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
- Man Planning: Direct, Manage and control required manpower &
resources efficiently to achieve production targets & motivate the work
forces to meet future business challenges.
- Staff development: Identify, plan and implement requisite training
in order to ensure continued development of all team members ensuring that an
adequately maintained skills inventory is in place
Qualifications Required:
• Qualification in feed mill technology or related discipline
• Knowledge of implementation of international quality standards desirable
• Experience with Automated Process Control
Essential Previous Experience:
• Experienced in similar position within a feed milling environment
• Experienced in production of livestock feed
• Experienced with Automated Process Control
• Proven man management ability
• Preparing and presenting budgets for the department.
• Contributed towards developing safe working environment and reducing
accidents.
• Able to discuss and finalse plans /targets with Production team with
regards to Production and maintenance activities.
• Able to identify development needs of employees and ensure adequately
maintained skill inventory is in place.
