Position Title:

Job Information              
St. Mary’s Hospital Lacor seeks to recruit qualified persons to fill the following positions:

1. Obstetrician, Gynaecologist (1),
General Surgeon
(1) Basic Requirements:
• MMED-Obstetrics, Gynaecology or General Surgery from a recognized institution
. • M.B.Ch.B or its equivalent from a recognized institution
• Fully registered with the Medical & Dental Practitioners’ Council
• Valid Annual Practicing License
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. To make appropriate Patient Management decisions such as investigations, special procedures, etc
ii. To seek Consultant’s help for difficult diagnostic, management & special procedure problems encountered
iii. To conduct Ward rounds with the Medical Officers, Interns on all patients under his/ her care
iv. To be on call as required whenever requested by Nurses, Clinical Officers, Interns or M.Os
v. To teach & supervise medical students, intern doctors & medical officers on patient management and relevant theory & skills in his/her area of specialty
. vi. To conduct Out Patient Clinics with or in the place of the Consultant in his/her field of specialty
vii. To adhere to professional code of conduct in the execution of their duties
viii. To participate in the documentation of proper medical records
ix. To attend and participate in the CPD meetings whenever convened
x. To carry-out any other duties assigned by the supervisors.
2. Physiotherapist

(1) Basic Requirements:
• A Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution
• Valid certificate of registration with Allied Professionals
• The ideal candidate must be between 25- 35 years of age.
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. To assess patients with physical disability
ii. To offer physical rehabilitation to patients with physical impairment
iii. To provide relevant appliances to patients with physical impairment
iv. Offering counseling to patients with physical disabilities
v. Making appropriate referral of patients to relevant specialists
vi. Taking care of equipment of physiotherapy equipments and accounting for their use
vii. Documenting medical records for hospital use viii. Attending and participating in CPD
ix. Participating in research activities x. Training and supervision of junior staff
xi. To carry-out any other duties assigned by supervisors
