Position: Information Technology (IT) Manager
Organisation; St RAPHAEL OF ST FRANCIS HOSPITAL NSAMBYA
Reports to: Medical Director
Purpose of the position;
 Responsible for installation, management and maintenance of computer hardware, software and networks. Conduct training, offer consultation and give recommendations about development of IT resources. Ensure maximum access to and implementation of technology services and resources.

Duties and Responsibilities
1.            Develop IT policy and recommend for approval.
2.            Shall advise on IT to management.
3.            Ensure IT is lined up and sufficiently up to date to support our organizational goals and objectives.
4.            Take overall custody of the hardware and ensures functionality and regular servicing, back up and safety from cyber vices like corruption with viruses, hacking, spam, pornography etc ...
5.            Key technical person in charge of the Patient Registration, Finance and Accounting software and HR systems. S/he ensures regular service, upgrade, licensing, policy adherence, password protection issuance and control as well as monitoring and elimination of abuse.
6.            Should evaluate proposals for management information regarding upgrade suggestions.
7.            Be responsible for full IT integration and offer training and advice to departments on the use of IT while at the same time ensuring compliance.
8.            Generate regular reports for management information and action.
9.            Supervise and develop subordinate staff.
10.Supervises Internet use and offers managerial oversight over the Intranet.
Job Specification:
Age 30 - 45 years
MSc. in IT from a recognized university with at least 2 years experience in a top position in a medium sized company.
Management Training will be an added advantage. Referees.

Provide monthly management accounts, annual budgets and forecasts to aid business planning. Futher, interpret financial information and hospital patient data to bring out variances and their causes, determine trends in hospital operations and recommend way forward to the Hospital Management for better business decisions and control. The person will also carry out continuous cost reviews for appropriate pricing and cost-reduction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform daily costing calculations and user fee adjustments for drugs and other medical supplies as and when market prices change.
1)            Perform quarterly costing calculations for laboratory, radiology, theatre and other procedures
2)            Facilitate budget and forecast process by availing updated cost information to the Chief Accountant on a quarterly basis.
3)            Prepare monthly financial reports [management accounts]. bringing out, in a timely manner, periodic variances and/ their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances and other areas of concern from sales, purchases, stocking levels / gaps / expiries I reconciliations, cost changes & recommend necessary user fees review, cost escalations and required cost cutting mechanisms etc.
4)            Identify, recommend and report on cost saving opportunities as part of the monthly management accounts - Pro-active cost control

Ability to collaborate with a multi-department team
Qualifications
 BCom., BBA and/or  ACCA / CPA, with a minimum of 3years relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting in a medium level organization
