Background Information.
The Independent Development Fund is a Ugandan non-
political, non-governmental, not for profit grant mechanism, providing support
to civil society organizations to promote human rights, access to justice and
social accountability in Uganda. We seek to recruit a qualified individual to
fill the positions of Programme Results Manager and Programme Support
Job Purpose:
Responsible for overseeing the implementation of M&E
activities including comprehensive and accurate data collection, analysis and
reporting, as well as documentation and publication of programme results.
Key Responsibilities
·
Realignment of grantee project results with IDF
strategic goals and objectives.
·
Implement M&E policies, establish
performance frameworks and M&E Plans to facilitate periodic project
reviews, monitoring, impact assessments and reporting.
·
Develop and update relevant M&E tools,
formats, procedures and systems that effectively track project deliverables and
progress. Guide the process for identifying quantitative and qualitative
indicators, benchmarks and data sources for programme deliverables and report
on progress.

Monitor and validate data COllection,
correlation, storage, analysis and reporting on indicators.
·
Monitor the preparation of reports e.g.
quarterly, annual and other programme reports in a timely manner.
·
Guide the monitoring and results team in the
preparation and publication of reports and case studies periodically to deepen
stakeholders' understanding of the achievements, challenges and impact of the
IDF programs.
·
Where necessary, identify, coordinate and manage
a local research partner to implement a follow up to the baseline survey
results and any fieldwork needed for future work.
·
Ensure that IDF's learning is disseminated to
all stakeholders. Participate in proposal development and resource mobilization
efforts of IDF.
Minimum Requirements
·
Degree in social sciences or a related
discipline.
·
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional
experience. Experience with M&E systems design and implementation.
Experience with civil society/NGO sector a plus, especially with human rights
and advocacy programs or organization

Programme Support Manager Reports to: Executive Director
Organisation: Netherlands Embassy
Work Center: Kampala,
Uganda
Job Purpose:
To provide leadership in grant management, in line with the
Fund's policies, procedures and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the process of review, technical and financial
assessment of the grant applications

Make recommendations on the eligibility of
applications for grants as per the IDF grant management policy and procedures
and donor guidelines
·
Identify organizational capacity gaps of the
grantees and coordinate appropriate capacity development interventions
·
Prepare agreements and memorandum of
understanding for grantees for final approval and sign off.
·
Receive grantee funds requests and authorize
processing of grant transfers.
·
Develop and implement appropriate training and
capacity building initiatives for the grantees
·
Ensure that IDF policies, procedures and
regulations on grant management, are fallowed and kept under review.
·
Develop good working relationships with key
stakeholders.
·
Follow up continuous improvement in grant
administration and other programme areas
Minimum Requirements
A degree in social sciences or related field from a
reputable institution.
Post graduate qualification is an advantage
At least 5 years in a relevant professional experience.
Experience in grants programme support is a must
