DATABASE ASSISTANT (1 position)

 MTN-Uganda is the leading telecommunications Company in Uganda, providing payphone, fixed lines, fax/data, internet and mobile services. MTN is an equal opportunity employer and is seeking to recruit a competent individual to fill the vacant Position of Product Development Controller.

The position reports to the Operations Manager

The main purpose of the job is:

The main purpose of this job is to avail support to the sales team to enable them deliver on their set targets.

Prime responsibilities of the position:

• Update database for Mobile Money active subscriber.
• Reconciliation of KYC received verses Agent Registrations.
• MM Subscriber Activations management.
• Provide updated MM Agent registration and payment reports.
• Timely DST, form collectors and Datacenter payments.
• Update Sim registration agent payment reports.
• Reconcile agent forms verified and received Vs. active agents.
• Receive and verify number of verified subscriber forms collected.
• Submit timely reports (monthly, weekly). - Registrations, KYC collected active subscribers.
• Handling Internal and external Customer complaints.
• Records Remedy resolution.
• KYC DATABASE management.
• Providing general support to all teams.
• Timely sign offs for payments from the records department.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

The applicant must possess the following:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Library Information & Secretarial studies, Business Administration, Economics or Marketing.
• 2 years’ experience in Administration, customer service in a competitive environment.
• Previous working experience in the Telecom industry will be an added advantage.
• 2 years’ experience in record keeping environment.
• Must possess Administrative, project management & operational management skills.
