Job Description DEPARTMENT: NATURAL RESOURCE
Salary Scale : U4
 Reports to : Senior Lands Management Officer
 Job purpose :
To undertake land surveys in the local government and verify survey results by private companies and individuals. Qualifications
• An Honors Bachelor of Science Degree in either Surveying; Geometries or any other relevant field from a recognized Training Institution.
 Duties and responsibilities:
 • Conducting the survey of Local Government land as requested by the relevant authorities.
 • Providing technical support to the Local Government on land management issues; • Supervising the drawing of land plans for accomplished surveys;

 • Opening boundaries of Local Government land
 • Verifying and authenticating deed plans
 • Providing technical support in solving land disputes
 • Coordinating and supervising contracted surveys
 • Verifying and approving completed cadastral surveys
 • Establishing and distributing control points for surveys.
 • Preparing and submitting work plans and budgets for land survey activities.
