Job
Purpose:
To carry out overall administration and
management of a Parish Unit in the Local Government
Qualifications:
- A’ Level Certificate from arecognised institution
- Certificate in either Public Administration and Management or Social works and Social Administration.
- Post basic training lasting not less than 2 years in areas of education, Enviroment and Public Administration will be an added advantage.
Duties
and Responsibilities:
- Preparing and compiling reports on parish operations fofr the attention of the sub county chief
- Collecting and accounting for local revenue in the parish
- Preparing work plans and budgets for the operations of the parish
- Enforcing the implementation of National and local government policies, programmes and council bye laws in the parish
- Under taking the mobilization of the parish communities for government development programmes and projects
- Providing technical supports to the parish council on any matters relating to lower local government governance
- Undertaking duties of secretariat to the parish council.

Reports to: Chief Administrative Officer.
Job
Purpose
To provide guidance and technical support
to the management on proper management and accountability for financial
resources of the district in accordance with the financial laws.
Qualifications:
EITHER
An honors
Bachelors Degree in either Commerce( Accounting option) or business
Administration( Accounting option) or Business Studies ( Accounting
option) or Finance and Accounting plus Professional Accounting Qualification
such as CCA, CPA ,ACIS and CPE obtained from arecognised institution or
University.
Or Full professional Qualification in Accounting such as ACCA, CPA,
ACIS and CPE obtained from recognized institution, plus a minimum of post
graduated Diploma in Financial management or Business Administration from recognized
institution.
Experience;
At least 9 years in Accounting experience,
3 of which should have been served at the level of Principle Finance officer in
government or equivalent level of experience from reputable organization.
Duties
and Responsibilities:

Supervising the collection of
revenue
·
Preparing books of accounts and
accounting records
·
Managing, controlling and
accounting for the financial resources of the district
·
Preparing and coordinating
budget and work plans for the district local government through the budget desk
·
Reconciling Bank statements to
iron out discrepancies with cash books
·
Preparing financial statements
and reports.
·
Answering Audit queries and
mandatories in inquiries whenever necessary
·
Providing technical support to
the Council on financial matters.
·
Planning, supervising and
assessing the performance of staff in the department of finance
·
Reviewing and identifying
alternative sources of revenue generation.
·
Coordinating the procurement
and payment for goods and services provided to the district administration.
