Chemonics International Inc., a leading international development consulting firm that has been implementing
USAID programs in Uganda for more than 20 years, seeks experienced professionals for the anticipated USAID¬funded Uganda Water Health and Sanitation Project. Experience in Uganda is strongly preferred and English fluency is required for all positions.
CHIEF OF PARTY
•Master's degree in International Development, Water/ Sanitation Engineering, Public Health, Business Administration, Economics, or related field of study required
•Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior leadership position managing WASH-focused programs or working in health, nutrition, environment and natural resources management, policy and financing, preferably in Uganda
•Strong communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively with senior Ugandan government officials, donor organizations, and other key stakeholders
REGIONAL COORDINATOR/TEAM LEADERS

•Minimum of 3 years of experience managing donor¬funded regional WASH programs with familiarity in peri¬urban and rural WASH proqramming.
•Strong background in CLTS approaches, specifically in rural areas
•Bachelor degree in Nutrition, Health Services Management, Public Health, Water and Sanitation. Masters degree in any of the listed areas preferred

SANITATION AND CLTS SPECIALIST
•At least 3 years of experience in community-led total sanitation programming, with strong skills in community behavioral change program design and implementation in rural areas
•Advanced degree in Public Health, Communications, or related field required

WASH ENGINEERING
•Master's degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Sanitation, and Water Services Engineering strongly preferred
•Minimum 5 years of experience designing and developing water, sanitation, sewage, and hygiene works and systems, experience with improvement projects including rehabilitating and maintenance of works a plus
•Demonstrated familiarity with Catchment and Source Protection programs, water safety plans, and natural resource impact assessments

NUTRITION AND COMMUNITY HEALTH SPECIALIST
•At least 5 years of experience providing technical assistance and management support to community health programs
•Experience in implementing collaborating with diverse actors, including community health teams, private sector actors, and government of Uganda officials
•Master's degree in Health, Nutrition, or Public Health preferred.

OTHER TECHNICAL SPECIALISTS

Qualifications:
•Master's degree in relevant technical area preferred
•Minimum five years of progressively responsible work experience
•Proven record in successful delivery of technical assistance
•Strong understanding of the nutrition and WASH challenges in Uganda
