Purpose of the Job:
To provide Secretarial and Administrative services to Bishop Tucker School
of Divinity & Theology.
Responsibilities
·
Organizing and maintaining files
and records
·
Preparing Faculty Board meetings
·
Receiving, entering, processing
and managing exams and results of students.
·
Making appointments and updating
the Dean's diary
·
Taking minutes and distributing
information to the Teaching Staff
·
Receiving and directing visitors
·
Oversee and carry out various day
to day administrative functions
·
Preparing and coordinating
information and mail
·
Performing basic liaison function
with students and staff members of other departments
·
Explaining policies and
procedures, answering various questions related to the office, handle problems, and route them to the supervisor
as appropriate
·
Handling student matters
especially those concerning their academic welfare
·
Receiving and making important
phone calls in and out of the School
·
Perform any other official duties
as assigned by the Supervisor.
Preferred Skills:
Qualifications:
A good Bachelor's degree from a
recognized Institution of Higher Learning. Applicants
Bachelors degree in Divinity will
be an added advantage
Experience and key Competencies:
·
At least two (2) years of working
experience in a busy office environment
·
Must have good computer skills
(Word, Excel, Access, Power point and internet).
·
Experience in taking minutes
·
Must have good interpersonal
skills especially when dealing with students, staff and visitors.
·
Must be a person of high
integrity with an excellent work ethic.
·
Must be able to work under
pressure to meet deadlines
·
Must be self motivated
·
Must be able to take part or lead
worship, preach and counsel students in the chaplaincy when called upon
·
Must be a Committed Christian who
is familiar with the workings of the
Church of Uganda
