Purpose of the Job:
Reporting to the Program Manager, The Sexual and Reproductive Health Senior Program Officer deputizes the Program Manager who is the technical lead of all AMREF MCH/ SRH projects.
Key Responsibilities
• He/She is responsible for provision of overall strategic and technical oversight of the program and to ensure the successful implementation of quality Sexual Reproductive Health projects.
• He/She is expected to have specific responsibility for reporting to and liaising with donors on respective projects.
• He/She is expected to ensure approved program deliverables are achieved according to agreed contractual obligations.
• He/She will oversee the implementation of the technical components of the projects and
will work closely with other line Managers  to ensure efficient and effective strategic implementation of the program and creation and sustenance of high levels of linkages with relevant government of Uganda, Health development agencies and other implementing partners.
Qualifications, experience and skills
• Masters degree in Public Health
• A medical Background is an added advantage.
• 5 years of progressive diverse experience in the direct implementation of SRH/ MCH projects, 3 of which should be at a senior Managerial level.
