AHF –Uganda cares Test and Treat project, operates in 4
districts of Kalungu, Masaka, Lwengo and
Bukomansimbi of Uganda. The project is seeking for dynamic,
self motivated and experienced individual, to fill in the vacant position
below:
Job Title :
Project Manager-Test and Treat
Organisation:AHF –Uganda cares Test and Treat project
Duty station :
Lukaya, Kalungu District, with 50% field related activities
Reporting to :
Prevention Program Manager
Duration : 1 year
initially, but renewable up to 3 years subject to satisfactory performance.
Essential duties and
responsibilities:
• Provide requisite leadership to all Test and Treat project
components i.e. (Demand creation, HCT, Linkages and HIV care and treatment).
• Supervise project activities and ensure compliance to
national guidelines for provision of HIV services.
• Effectively manage and work closely with the core team,
partners and Districts Local Governments within the project area, to ensure
that the project outputs and outcomes are achieved as stipulated in the project
documents.
• Provide clinical support to ART teams and ensure quality
of care and treatment services
• Ensure timely planning, budgeting, implementation and
monitoring of project activities.
• Ensure proper implementation of performance management
tool, and provide mentorship and coaching to the project staff.
• Ensure effective management of project resources.
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual project
reports as per the reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance to organizational policies, as amended
from time to time.
Person’s
specifications and experience:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able
to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education: MBChB,
Social Work and Social Administration or Social Sciences. If in the medical
profession, he/she must be registered with the Medical and Dental Practitioner’s
Council.
• experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing
similar projects or programs, of which 3 years working in an HIV/AIDS setting
or organization.
• Demonstrable training and experience in project planning
and management with a strong appreciation of community participation will be an
added advantage.
Required skills:
• Successful track record of managing HIV Project / program
• Management of human resources
• Proficiency of computer applications MS Word, Excel,
PowerPoint and Access and Internet
