Reporting
Relationships: The Business Services Supervisor reports to the Ministry
Services Manager.

Information:
Compassion International is an evangelical Christian Child Development
NGO that for over sixty years has existed as an advocate for children, to
release them from poverty and enable them to become responsible and fulfilled
Christian ADULTS. The organization wishes to recruit individuals for the
following positions:
Job Summary
Supervises day-to-day purchasing, facilities and fleet operations
to ensure effective management of physical resources.
Core Duties and
Responsibilities
1. Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent
witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in
dealing with people within and outside of Compassion and faithfully upholds
Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
2. Working within one’s influence, serves as an advocate for
children around the world who live in poverty and are not able to speak out for
themselves. This includes being informed about the issues of children and
influencing other to care about children who are in need.
3. Oversees purchasing and service contracts. Selects and
manages ongoing relationships with external suppliers (for example: cleaning,
maintenance contractors, equipment and furniture vendors, landscaping and
others) to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
Conducts regular cost comparisons and open bidding on services and supplies.
4. Manages country office vehicle fleet. Ensures regular
maintenance of vehicles. Coordinates scheduling and availability of vehicles.
5. Supervises facility utilization and maintenance. Works
toward optimal utilization of office space and compliance with Compassion
global facility guidelines as appropriate.
Ensures healthy and clean facility.
Responsible to provide security measures to create/ maintain
a safe and secure office environment.
Oversees security
personnel and contracts.
6. Supervise a team of support staff to ensure a safe,
secure, healthy and clean working environment.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities (To be determined by

Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities Required
1. Mature Christian person, based on evangelical Christian
values; has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is above reproach in
integrity and honesty.
2. University degree in Business Management/
Administration or
comparable work experience.
3. Supervisory experience.
4. Knowledge and experience in facilities management
including basic maintenance knowledge of generators, vehicles and physical
buildings.
5. Strong organization and coordination skills.
6. Customer service mentality.
7. Maintains current/valid driver’s license.
Working Conditions
Exposure to safety and disease hazards relevant to the local
office. Working with people and Compassion’s guests.
