FUND ACCOUNTANT

from qualified Ugandans to fill the following vacant posts under the
Parliamentary Pension Scheme.
PARLIAMENTARY PENSION SCHEME
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To ensure prompt reconciliation
of: pension contributions, bank, custodial and investment transactions.
Key responsibilities:
To undertake monthly reconciliation of
contributions, and take corrective actions when necessary.
To monitor all investment transactions and
reconcile Custodian and Fund Manager’s reports on a monthly basis.
To prepare payroll reconciliation.
To prepare bank reconciliation for all
accounts.
To monitor remittances and income
collections to the Scheme.
To maintain fixed assets register.
Any other duties as may be assigned by the
Supervisor.
Requirement:
A minimum of an Honours Bachelor's Degree
in either Finance or Accounting, or Commerce (Accounting Option), or Business
Administration (Accounting option) with at least part II of a professional
accounting qualifications such as ACCA (fundamentals), or CPA.
At least 2 (two) years working experience
in a busy accounting environment.
Skills and abilities
Financial analytical skills and user
knowledge of accounting Software.
Computerized record keeping.
Good Interpersonal Skills.
Ability to work under minimum supervision.

(RENEWABLE) REPORTS TO: DATA ADMINISTRATOR
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To ensure proper data management and
provide IT support services.
Key responsibilities:
To resolve, clean, analyse and reconcile
data in line with Parliamentary Pension Scheme guidelines.
To prepare, structure and load data onto
the database.
To train and guide users of computerized
systems.
To provide technical support on computer
infrastructure.
To provide helpdesk support to members.
Any other duties as may be assigned by the
supervisor.
Requirement:
A minimum of an Honours Bachelor's Degree
in Computer science, or Information Technology, or Management Information
Systems, or Statistics/Mathematics with computer science.
A professional qualifications in Oracle,
Sql Server, Solaris/Linux and open source technologies will be an added
advantage Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience in systems analysis and
application development or equivalent experience in the related field.
Skills and abilities
Knowledge and use of hardware and software
operations
Proficient in MS Office applications in a
Windows Environment.
Knowledge and skills in use of various
operating systems.
Good Communication skills.
Good Interpersonal Skills.
