About this job

Our client is a Banking Institution in Uganda and is seeking to recruit result driven and motivated individuals for the Vacancy above;

Reports to: Head of Credit

Duties and Responsibilities:


1. Principal Accountabilities

a.  MIS: Generate correct figures and ratios of credit provisions, quality and volume

changes, among them;

i.  IFRS Provisions

ii.  Bank of Uganda Provisions

iii.  Company Group Provisions

iv.  Reconciliation between the above figures

v.   NPL and Loan Loss percentages

vi.   Migration from one credit class to another

vii.  Monitor Credit Performance by department, product, officer (RM/MB/Credit

      Analyst in Branch/HO) for better management of staff and Credit Quality.

viii.  Sector analysis

b.  Compliance:


i.   Do an independent call over on the disbursements of the previous day approval

    terms and conditions

ii. Do an independent audit of analysis section verses underwriting standards and

    check-lists

iii.  Do an independent audit of collections and recoveries vs credit policy, the law

     and culture.

iv.  Do an independent audit of securities and documentation against approval conditions

v.   Bank Credit Compliance, e.g Sector limits, Renewal of limits, expiring/expired limits,

      compliance to terms and conditions of approval.

Qualifications:

1.    Reporting: Keep our reports upto date with Bank of Uganda.

i.    From (a), generate the Credit BS100 portion

ii.    Quartely reports specific to products e.g. Agricultural Returns, Agricultural

       Lending, etc.

2.   Span of Control; narrow - no directs reports for now, one or two reports in the

      medium term.

3.   Team work interaction
